Brazilians living in Germany, take note! On Sunday, 4 October 2026, the first round of the 2026 elections takes place. Here in Germany, voting will take place in five cities: Berlin, Hamburg, Frankfurt am Main, Cologne and Munich, from 8 am to 5 pm (local time).
In this guide you will find everything you need to vote with peace of mind: which office you vote for, how to find your polling station, what to bring, what is prohibited in the voting booth and the addresses of all polling stations in Germany.
Which office Brazilians abroad vote for
Those who vote abroad only choose the President and Vice-President of the Republic. This is because voters living outside Brazil do not have an electoral domicile in any Brazilian state and therefore do not vote for governor, senator, federal deputy or state deputy.
If there is a presidential run-off, it will be held on Sunday, 25 October 2026, also from 8 am to 5 pm.
Why your participation matters
Voting is a right and also a duty of every Brazilian, including those who live abroad. Voting is compulsory for voters aged 18 to 70, abroad as well. Every vote counts, and the Brazilian community in Germany plays an important role in this process.
If you cannot vote, make sure to justify your absence through the e-Título app or the TSE website, within the deadline set by Brazil's Electoral Justice. That way, your electoral status stays in good standing.
Step 1: find out exactly where you vote
Check your polling station in the e-Título app. If you don't have the app yet, it's worth downloading it before Sunday: it can also serve as an identity document on election day.
The app isn't working? No problem! You can go straight to the TSE portal and look for “Onde votar” (Where to vote). The search is already available.
Important: you can only vote in the city where your voter registration card is registered.
Step 2: plan your journey
Please plan ahead. Talk to other Brazilians in your region, arrange to take the train together, share a car and plan your route. On election day polling stations tend to be busy, so arriving early helps a lot.
What to bring on election day
On the day, you do not need to bring your voter registration card (título de eleitor). What matters is an official Brazilian photo ID, for example:
- Passport
- RG (Brazilian identity card)
- Carteira Nacional de Habilitação (CNH, Brazilian driving licence)
The e-Título app also counts as an identity document, as long as it shows your photo.
What is prohibited in the voting booth
Attention! Mobile phones are not allowed in the voting booth, not even switched off. Before voting, you must switch it off and leave it in the place indicated by the polling station staff.
Cameras and other devices that could compromise the secrecy of your vote are also prohibited.
And remember: find out in advance about the electoral rules that apply on election day.

Below are the addresses of the five polling stations. Remember: you vote only in the city where your voter registration card is registered.
